Like the rave parties taking place in big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, now the young generation has started consuming drugs during night parties in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow. This was revealed when STF arrested an inter-state drug smuggler from the Chinhat area of Lucknow. The smuggler used to sell drugs from Delhi and sell them at night parties in Lucknow.
STF had been receiving reports of smuggling of drugs in Lucknow for a long time. Due to which a team was formed under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police STF Satyasen Yadav. When the team started investigating, it was found that the younger generation of Lucknow is using dangerous drugs like Mathadonadrugs. Late Saturday, the STF received information from the informer that the young man, who lives near Amity University, got out of his car towards the railway station with some illegal goods. As soon as the information was received, the STF team laid siege to the area and as soon as the youth reached there, he was taken into custody. During the investigation, 22 grams of methadondrugs and 62,000 rupees in cash were recovered from him.
First smuggling of drugs used with friends started again
The arrested smuggler Danish Siddiqui is originally from Azamgarh but at this time he lived in the Yaduvansh hostel of Chinhat area of Lucknow. During the questioning, Danish told that he has been in this business for the past 6-7 months. After getting in touch with a Delhi smuggler, he first started using drugs with friends and then started selling drugs to others. Danish used to buy 10 grams of drugs from a smuggler from Delhi for 20 thousand rupees through couriers and then sell 1 gram of drugs for 4 thousand rupees to the youth of the city. Danish said that so far he has sold the youth of Lucknow by buying more than 5 lakhs worth of methadone drugs.
