Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested 160 such accused, from whom a huge amount of oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, life saving medicines, injections etc. have been recovered.
ADG law and order Prashant Kumar said that while the government is continuously making efforts day and night to deal with the corona, some philanthropists are black-marketing of Corona related equipment and medicines to turn the disaster into an opportunity. These criminals have committed black marketing during the Corona period. Oxygen and injections along with other medical devices have been recovered from the arrested criminals.
During the Corona period, there was a lot of black marketing in UP. Due to which the UP Police formed teams to deal strictly with them. A total of 160 accused, who were involved in black marketing in the Corona period in Uttar Pradesh, have been arrested due to the activeness of the police. A cash of 62 lakh 70 thousand has been recovered from the arrested accused. Along with this, during the arrest of these accused, the police have also recovered 1256 life-saving injections including several vehicles, 1350 oxygen cylinders, 18 oxygen constructors, 844 oximeters, 5 oxygen regulators, 9 oxygen flowmeters.
