Kolkata
Election dates have been announced in five states including West Bengal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Kolkata’s Brigade Ground on Sunday to address the rally. In his address, PM Modi mentioned the great personalities of Bengal from Swami Vivekananda to Subhash Chandra Bose and Maharishi Aurobindo to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. In the Vidhan Sabha elections, the party wants to take the name of the great men of Bengal and get it in the heart of the people here. PM Modi said that around the brigade ground, on one side is the birthplace of Swami Vivekananda ji, on the other side is the residence of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. On one side is the birthplace of Maharishi Sri Aurobindo, on the other side is the birthplace of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Voting will begin in West Bengal from March 27. The eight-phase polling will end here on April 29. The election result will be announced on 2 May.

Modi does not forget to mention Swami Vivekananda

PM Modi often mentions Swami Vivekananda on different occasions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at an event some time ago that Swami Vivekananda used to say, according to old religions, an atheist is one who does not believe in God, but the new religion says, an atheist is one who does not believe in himself. It was Swami Vivekananda, who said at that time that the fearless, frank, clean-hearted, courageous and aspirational youth is the foundation on which the future of the nation is built.

Decision to celebrate Netaji’s birthday as a day of valor

The Modi government has decided to celebrate Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary as Parakram Divas on 23 January every year. PM Modi attended an event in Kolkata on the birth anniversary of Netaji Bose in January this year. During the address at Victoria Palace, PM Modi said that on this day, Veer Saput was born in the lap of mother Bharati. He gave a new direction to the dream of independent India.

Maharishi Aurobindo remembered again

This is not the first time that PM Modi has mentioned Maharishi Aurobindo. Earlier, on 29 November 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried to woo the voters of West Bengal on the radio in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program under the pretext of Maharishi Aurobindo Ghosh. Remembering Orbindo Ghosh, she had read Bengali poetry. He appealed to the people that the things that Maharishi Aurobindo Ghosh had about adopting Swadeshi should be read and understood by all people. Modi had said that his government has fulfilled the expectations of Maharishi, which was the expectation of national education.

Fulfilled the dream of the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh

PM Modi may have once again remembered Shyama Prasad Mukherjee today, but he has said earlier that Mukherjee made bold efforts to strengthen the unity of the country. Modi believes that his ideas and ideals inspire millions of people in the country. Mukherjee, the founder president of the Jana Sangh, was born in Calcutta (now Kolkata) in 1901. The Jana Sangh was later merged with the Janata Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party was formed in 1980. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was vehemently opposed to Article 370. The party fulfilled his dream by finishing it.
