Lal Quila Violence: 38 cases filed in Delhi on 26 January violence, Union Minister replied

Union Minister of State for Home Kishan Reddy said on Wednesday that 38 cases have been registered against various persons for the violence that took place in Delhi during the tractor parade of farmers on 26 January. He gave this information in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha. The Minister said that it has been informed by the Delhi Police that no road was dug near the borders of Delhi due to the farmers’ agitation, but the security system was strengthened.

Police permission violated in tractor parade
Reddy said, “Delhi Police has reported that 38 cases have been registered against many people including foreign nationals who violate the legal provisions.” According to the minister, the Delhi Police has informed that the United Kisan Morcha broke the blockades on Republic Day and violated the permission given for the tractor parade.

The Delhi Police is nabbing the accused of the January 26 violence at the Red Fort under the guise of the Kisan movement. In this connection, the police has succeeded in arresting two more accused. One of these accused Maninderjit Singh is a resident of Denmark who currently lives in Birmingham.

Manjinder Singh arrested
He has been arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) in Delhi. He was trying to escape from India and for this he had made fake documents. As the Delhi Police issued a look out notice against him, the airport employees identified him and handed him over to the police. There are already two criminal cases against Manjinder.
