Kanungo Jai Prakash Srivastava of Bahrauli affiliated to Mohanlalganj tehsil was caught by the Vigilance team from the office. The police claim that they have been caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 for the field farming. Vigilance’s team has moved the accused to a secret place.
According to Vigilance, a complaint was demanded against the revenue inspector Jai Prakash Shrivastava working in the office of the Registrar-Kanungo in Mohanlalganj tehsil. The complainant alleged that Jai Prakash has demanded Rs 15,000 in the name of measuring a land in Alaiya Khargapur. The allegations were found to be true when Vigilance conducted a confidential investigation into the allegations. Jai Prakash was in office on Monday. After lunch at two in the afternoon, Anaiya of Gosainganj, Rajesh Kumar, resident of Khargapur, reached him and gave Rs 15,000. It is being told that Vigilance’s team was already present in the office. As soon as the money was taken, the team members caught Jai Prakash and brought him out and left him in the car. It is being told that the accused Kanungo is posted in Bahrauli, he has been associated with Mohanlalganj tehsil.
Were cutting rounds for metering from 2018
Complainant Rajesh Kumar said that he owned one bigha of two acres in Anaiya Khargapur. Whose numbers are 2050 and 2052. He has been traveling to Tehsil since 2018 to get this land measured. He alleges that Kanungo and Lekhpal had asked for Rs 50,000 for the first measurement, but later agreed to pay Rs 15,000. They reported this to Vigilance and the team members nabbed the accused Kanungo. A case has been registered against Jai Prakash Shrivastava under the Prevention of Corruption Act at the Vigilance Police Station.
