Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan is currently lodged in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail. He was caught by the Narcotics Control Bureau along with several others in the cruise drugs case in Mumbai. While many people protested against Aryan’s arrest, many social media users took the opposite view. Now the famous writer Javed Akhtar has given his reaction on this matter.

Javed Akhtar supported Shah Rukh and Aryan without naming them at the launch of a book titled ‘Changemakers’ at a book store in Juhu, Mumbai. He said that in the name of investigation, big celebrities of Bollywood and industry are being targeted.

Didn’t see the billion dollar cocaine headline
Akhtar said, ‘I would like to say that a billion dollars worth of cocaine is found at one port (Adani’s port) and at one place 1200 people are found on a cruise and charas worth 1.30 lakh is recovered there. It becomes very big national news but I haven’t even seen the headline about Billion Dollar Cocaine. The news comes on the fifth or sixth page and then it is said that we will not allow ships to come to this port. Hey, first talk about what you got.’

Bollywood is paying the price of being high profile
Javed Akhtar further said, ‘Bollywood is paying the price of being high profile. When you’re high profile, everybody enjoys pulling someone down, throwing stones at you, throwing mud at them. Who would enjoy throwing stones at you if you are nothing?’

Akhtar spoke on the killings of Hindus in Bangladesh

When ABP News asked questions about the targeting of Shahrukh and his son Aryan, Javed Akhtar refused to elaborate, naming both. At the same time, expressing his opinion about the killings and targeting of Hindus in Bangladesh, Akhtar said, “Wherever there is injustice against the minorities, wherever there is repression, I get worried. Even if it happens anywhere in the world. It is a matter of great shame that this is happening in Bangladesh. Hasina Sheikh was identified as a moderate leader and such incidents are happening right under her nose. Whether such incidents happen in India or somewhere outside, it is a matter of great concern.
