Coronavirus in India is once again coming up in Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. Amid changing circumstances, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah has asked the Health Ministry to expedite the corona vaccination. The central government is now going to take steps in the direction of applying Corona vaccine to people above 50 years of age. In such a situation, the center is also going to resort to private sector to vaccinate around 27 crore people of the country so that the vaccination campaign can be completed in a short time. This phase will also include those under 50 who are more likely to develop corona infection.

NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul says that full details of the role of private sector in corona vaccination will be available in the next few days. Dr. Paul is also the head of the team dealing with the epidemic formed by the central government. Dr. Paul said that even at this time, the private sector is mainly involved in the vaccination of health workers and frontline workers. Private companies are putting 2 thousand vaccines out of 10 thousand vaccines on any given day. As we accelerate the vaccination campaign, the engagement of the private sector will deepen. According to Dr. VK Paul, large-scale participation of the private sector will be necessary in the Corona vaccination campaign as more sections of the population become eligible for vaccination. Currently only health care and frontline medical staff are being vaccinated.
