Corona Cases: Positiveness rate is decreasing in the country, the number of active cases has also come down

There is some news about Corona. Corona’s active cases in the country have come down to 36,18,458. The positivity rate (infection rate) has also come down to 16.98 percent. The positivity rate on May 3 was 24 percent. The number of under-treated patients (active cases) in the country is 14.66 percent of the total cases of infection. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Sunday.

The ministry said that 74.69 percent of under-treated patients are in 10 states. These include Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. The infection rate also stood at 24.47 per cent on 3 May. On May 16, it came down to 16.98 percent.

So far, 2,07,95,335 people have been cured in the country in the last 24 hours due to the treatment of 3,62,437 patients. In the last 24 hours, 3,11,170 cases of corona were reported. The highest number of 41,664 cases came from Karnataka. At the same time, 34,848 cases have been reported from Maharashtra and 33,658 from Tamil Nadu.

Covid-19has a nationwide mortality rate of 1.09 per cent. The ministry said that 4077 patients died in the last 24 hours. Of these, the highest number of deaths were 960 in Maharashtra and 349 in Karnataka.

Till Sunday, 18.22 crore doses of anti- Covid-19vaccine have been given as part of the vaccination campaign. According to the provisional report on Sunday at seven o’clock in the morning, 18,22,20,164 doses were given during 26,55,003 sessions.

The Health Ministry said that 66.76 per cent of the doses have been given in 10 states as part of the vaccination campaign. These include Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. During the last 24 hours, 5,62,130 doses were given in the 18–44 age group.

The ministry said, “More than 17 lakh doses were given during the last 24 hours. 17,33,232 doses were given on the 120th day of the vaccination campaign (on 15 May). In a total of 16,027 sessions, 11,30,928 people were given the first dose and 6,02,304 people were given the second dose.
