The miscreants robbed the woman, who was traveling in an auto from Anand Vihar bus stand to Noida, at knife point on the way. The purse, mobile, worn jewelery and other items were left in the deserted area. Police were called with the help of passersby. On the complaint of the victim Poonam (25), the Patparganj Industrial Area Police Station registered a case of robbery. Police are trying to identify the accused with the help of CCTV cameras installed nearby. Some clues are being said to have been found.
Poonam is originally from Ghazipur district of UP. She lives in Noida Sector-22. She lost her job during Kovid and she is looking for a job. She told the police that she reached Anand Vihar from her village at around 10:00 on Sunday night. After getting off the bus, started waiting for the car on road number-56. Meanwhile, an auto came and stopped. Drive asked Poonam where she would go, she said Noida. After fixing the money, she sat in the auto.
There were already two youths in the back seat, who talked about getting down at a short distance. Poonam sits between the two. After walking some distance, suddenly the driver changed the course of the auto. When Poonam protested, one of the accused immediately took out a knife and put it on the neck. The other put the knife on the stomach. The miscreants looted cash, phones, worn jewelery and other items. The accused started threatening to kill him if he raised an alarm. After this he landed at a deserted place and fled.
