In Harsh Vihar, an auto driver was murdered just for robbing Rs 250. Police have arrested five accused. There are three minors, including two girls. The adults have been identified as Ajay Kumar (19) of Harsh Vihar and Deepu Rajput (20) of Bhopura Harsh Vihar-2. The police have recovered the looted auto and two hardwoods used in the crime from them.
DCP (North-East) Sanjay Kumar Sain said that on October 8, a dead body was found near Hari Om Dharma Kanta located in Mandoli Industrial Area. The deceased was identified as Surendra alias Chhotu (31) of Rahul Garden, Behta Hajipur, Loni on October 11. Investigation revealed that the deceased were auto drivers. Auto owner Nayab Hasan told the relatives of the deceased that his auto was found by the UP Police on October 9 at Narora in Bulandshahr. When Harsh Vihar police contacted Narora police, it came to know that five people were caught with the auto. There were three minors, including two girls. The accused told the Uttar Pradesh Police that they found the auto parked at a deserted place, then brought it.
After questioning, the Uttar Pradesh Police released him by writing a statement. Their addresses given to the police turned out to be fake. However, the police reached out to them from the numbers from which the parents of the minors were contacted. During interrogation, the accused told that they had hired an auto from Harsh Vihar Shivani Vatika at 11:15 pm on 7 October. When he reached the SBI ATM located at Sushila Garden, he started robbing the driver of 250 rupees. During this, the driver was severely attacked and strangled. After throwing the body, he took the auto to Narora in Bulandshahr, where the Uttar Pradesh Police caught him.
