The party was going on at the house of Ashish alias Rohan (20). When he started abusing while intoxicated, Ashish overshadowed the other three friends. All three took him out on the pretext, where he was beaten up a lot. When he fainted, he was taken to an empty field, where he crushed his head with a stone. Jyoti Nagar police station found the body in rotten condition after five days. Murder accused Rishabh alias Golu (19) of Ashok Nagar and Hrithik Anand (19) of LIG Flats were arrested. The main accused Kartik (19) of Ashok Nagar is absconding.
The top police officers of the district said that on September 25 afternoon, the body was found in a rotten condition on the empty ground of Kailash Colony in front of East Loni Road LIG flats. The relatives told that on September 20, Ashish alias Rohan had left the house with his friends. When he did not return home, a missing person was written on September 24 at Jyoti Nagar police station. A team of SI Akhil Choudhary, HC Rajdeep, Vipin, Sepoy Pavit, Nitin, Deepak and Sanchit was formed in charge of Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of the district.
The footage of the surrounding CCTV cameras was scanned. In one, three accused were seen beating the deceased badly. They were identified as Rishabh, Hrithik and Kartik. Hrithik and Rishabh were caught through technical surveillance, but Karthik did not catch up. During interrogation, it was revealed that Ashish’s sister used to live on rent in Karthik’s house a few years back. There was a dispute between Kartik’s mother and Ashish’s sister. In this case, Ashish slapped Kartik’s mother. This tease was in Karthik’s mind.
The accused told that even on the day of the incident, Ashish abused Rishabh and Karthik during a liquor party at his house. Hurt by this, the three decided to hide him and took him out on the pretext of late September 20 at around 1:00 pm. The accused claim that Ashish started saying that if he survives today, he will leave the three. In such a situation, all three decided to kill him. All three carried out the crime and fled.
